before you create a smarty object, simply do this...
$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] = 'my value';
Hacky; but functional?

Because PHP operator should be compiler function, not text block or something.
With compiler plugins, you only get functions -- not blocks. You'd have to do that yourself. So registering "/cas ... |
