In general it is needed to send a header because otherwise the browser could/would interpret it as html or plaintext. Embarassed

i've narrowed down php-friendly, frameworks-of-interest to two:

(1) ZendFramework
because it IS the ZnedFramework, and will become (eventually) defacto standard ...

"old api" in eAccelerator version <= v0.94.x
compatible with php 4.x & 5.0.x

"new api" in eA, version >= 0.95.x & svn trunk
compatible with php 5.1. ...

hi,

$this should be $compiler. I silently updated the code again without bumping versions.

and with that, no more errors, and page displays properly ...
in the morning i'll start thinking about ...
