There are several links in the forum to instructions on how to integrate Smarty with Zend Framework 2 but they all take the approach 1, 2, 3, you're done!

They all seem to have at least one folder ...

The call gave me the required folder.

The documentation I had didn't say anything about the /application/views/templates folder.

I also saw that I needed the folder /application/views/compiled, ...
