By trying to understand how all is working i was looking at the files in \development\TestScripts but somehow the template files are not there.

i like this restriction, it makes it very clear where the modifier belongs to.
When it is not to much work can you make it optional or so?

About constands I did made a hack to the smarty2 version that alows us to get the define as !define! insteed of $smarty.const.FOO.
