|
|
i have some templates which work under php 4.3.0, smarty 2.6.3, Apache/1.3.27 and Redhat Linux 9 perfect. when using them with php 4.0.6, smarty 2.6.3, Microsoft-IIS/5.0 and Windows NT 5.0 build 2195 they produce garbage if a loop occurs.
e.g.
[php:1:a571dfd8c2]
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<html>
<head>
<title>sometitle</title>
</head>
<body>
<table>
<tr>
<!--{section name=daponte_menu_section loop=$daponte_menu}-->
<!--{strip}-->
<td>
<a href="link">&& <!--{$daponte_menu[daponte_menu_section].text}--></a>
</td>
<!--{/strip}-->
<!--{/section}-->
</tr>
</table>
</body>
[/php:1:a571dfd8c2]
replaces the content from the precompiled script from the beginning of the file to the end of the loop with special chars (junk/garbage).
[php:1:a571dfd8c2]
/* some garbage chars */
</tr>
</table>
</body>
[/php:1:a571dfd8c2]
is this a problem from smarty (has anyone tested this version with php 4.0.6) or is the server the bad guy?
thx for help
tobias
ps.: i am quite sure that this is a smarty bug - without loops the templates are generated without problems ... |

maybe it's IIS and not php-4.0.6 that causes problems here.
maybe it's {strip} that causes problems (i just fixed a bug that affects {strip} in CVS).
anyway: good luck. |
