|
|
I am following the install directions and at one point it says ...
The version of Smarty I downloaded (2.6.2) keeps its code in the 'libs' directory.
It also has a 'demo' directory that contains the 'templates', 'templates_c', and 'configs' directories.
Rename or Copy-Paste-Rename the 'demo' directory (Mine is called 'gnd'). These are *your* template directories!
... I've done this, and copied the 'templates' , 'configs' directories to a new dir. that I created just above my htdocs dir (winxp). The problem is, I can't find the 'templates_c' dir. I thought it would be in the demo folder with the 'templates' and 'configs' dirs- but no. Any ideas? Do I need this dir?
thanks- |

Is the MKDIR command for use on the server at my ISP, and therefore I must use this linux? command to create the dir? On windows, can I get away with simply creating a new folder in windows called template_c?
thanks for your help. |

Yes, you need that directory.
Creating it with Windows Explorer will work, provided the webserver can write files in it. |
