Smarty

Hi,

I am attempting to write a site that will make use of the pear config module. When using an XML style config file, and requesting the config module to twist it into an array it uses an @ symbol as they for the assoc array that holds the attributes. e.g.

section['subsection']['@']['attr']['value']

I thought all was going well until I tried to get smarty to access one of these variables. Smarty pretty much seems to not like the @, is there a way to get smarty to like it?

Obviously I can write function to clean it up into something smarty would like, but it would be nicer not to have to.

Which also gets me wondering about other pear XML things, I haven't looked but if other pear XML modules use @ when they twist data into a variable, it could make using smarty in an XML environment a bit messy.

Anyone have any thoughts or tips on getting smart to play nice with this?
