Job Description:

Candidates will focus on new web-based product development using state-of-the-art tools in support of worldwide STR operations. Potential for international travel. Join a friendly and relaxed team responsible for creating a sophisticated web-interface and working with internal and external database systems. You will work mostly independently but due to the nature of the project be highly visible.

Your Choice of Location: Enfield, CT (USA), or Canton, MA (USA), or possibly work from a remote site

Duration: Long-term (10 Months) Assignment (40 hours per week) with a high chance of extension into 2007

Qualifications:

• 3+ years demonstrated experience in web-based application dvelopment
• Strong background with the XML language
• 1+ years with XML data modeling and schema design
• SQL Server 7 or 2000
• 1+ years PHP experience building interactive web applications
• Experience with Smarty Template Engine

Desirable Additional Skills:

• Enterprise-level programming of Web-based applications such as Supply Chain Management and/or Billing
• Systems integration background
• XML technologies (XSLT, JAVA API for XML Processing, and related XML tools)
• Java programming experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

The ideal candidate will exhibit superior analytical and problem-solving ability, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have a demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies. The candidate must be a self-starter with great organizational ability, and will need excellent interpersonal skills, display high energy, positive attitude, team player attributes, and strong customer-service orientation.
