This is kind of a design issue. I am new to Smarty but am getting it after a couple days working with it and I really like it.

I was wondering if it is typical to have an associated TPL file for every PHP file that deals with visual content. Is there ever a time when using a Template would be overkill? I want to make sure that all my web apps are easily maintanable and Templates are the easiest way to do that.

Thanks for any advice.

Gregg

It depend off course. For one page design it maybe be overkill. You simple need to make a few webpages and find out when to use it. I'm doing the same and didn't yet find a reason why not to use Smarty. Infact it speeds me up.

First make an object, then the funcitons then pass those arrays to smarty and htmls smarty design. And presto I have a site or an app.
