|
|
hi,
being a rather experienced php-dev i just decided to use smarty in a new project. so i read the manual, some tuts and more and i am still not sure as how to implement it best. (which probably just means that i read so many tuts i forgot the manual again allready
The problem i am facing should be rather common and easy to solve, so i am sorry if i am overlooking something basic here:
i would just like to use some subtemplates or rather subcontent, which is not defined in the contentfile, but in the template- meaning i have special tabledefinition and i need that many times in my template, but alwas using a different databaseresult in there.
so what i would need is to say in the templatefile to include at a some place a content file (which then gets the small templatefile, asks the database, puts the result in the template and returns the resulting table into the main layout.)
if that was to confused to understand just have a look at http://mikro.homeip.net/fewo.neu/ : i am talking about the table on the left and on the right..
could anybody please explain to me how this is done? _________________ Regards,

ok, on reading the manual again, it seems that {php} is thought to be used for that.
