Greets,

I am wondering if there is a method to compile/fetch a template and then get a handle on the compiled file (path/file name). I could then use it as a source in frames.

I know that I could also just link to a PHP-Script from my frames and comile it then, but it would be much more elegant to have it compiled before I compile the rest of the frame(s).

Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch for your help,

Stefan

Hi lars_stecken.

I am not aware of a public-interface to do this, but there is a core function that determines target names. I wouldn't suggest that, though Smile IMHO, you are better off creating separate php files for each frame, each php file responsible for enacting the appropriate Smarty processing for that particular frame.

Thanks for the answer. I already suspected that.
Cheers, Lars
