Its a template... you code the HTML, all of my pages come out 100% valid thats your end to make your page valid HTML.

yes, that is true. But you can put a datepicker in your template, and that isn't validated html. that is what I mean.

I have never used Monte's datepick plugin. I am sure it would be simple to make it HTML compatible.

You could probably build an output filter plugin that used HTMLPurifier. I am sure the developer of HTMLPurifier would be thrilled at that.
