does smarty support with postgreSQL? coz im kinda hard to install this in cygwin..

Smarty is just a template system and doesn't cater to any database system.

thanks for letting me know. just newbbies..

but i want to ask more quest...
im trying to install smarty from my cygwin.
Smarty.class.php
Smarty_Compiler.class.php
Config_File.class.php
debug.tpl
/plugins/*.php
i did put already this library files under the directory of:
/usr/local/lib/php/Smarty/

but theres a line of file structure that i dont follow where to put..
templates, templates_c, configs, and cache.
i just put them in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/public_web/smarty/
is this right?? where really to put them??

can you tell me what is the relative path directory of this lines?? -/web/www.mydomain.com/smarty/guestbook/templates..

Well, since I was beckoned Smile

Are you really running your webserver (I assume Apache) under Cygwin? If so, I recommend that you use the native Win32 port of Apache instead. I love Cygwin, but this is a case where it is unnecessary (ie. running apache under cygwin), IMHO, especially since it does not buy any additional usability and is indeed slower than the native port.
