Smarty continuously changes the permissions on templates_c

Has anybody any idea why Smarty would change the permission on templates_c directory??

maybe a bug in smarty that causes generation of an empty compiled-filename. (there was something like that in 2.6.0-RC1 for example). smarty changes permissions of written filenames, if the filename is empty the directory is taken.

(just an idea)

Thank you for the hint. I was using 2.5 - may be the bug was already in this release . I'll be watching it and may be I can pin it down on something particular.
