We are seeking an experience PHP/Smarty Developer to design and implement web software for emerging network hardware company.

Ideal candidate would be someone with solid PHP development experience as well as a formal computer science background including object oriented design, aspect oriented programming, effective use of design patterns, and experience with or mapping frameworks like Hibernate and Spring.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement web-based UI
Provide cross-browser and cross-platform web-based UI functionality
Develop backend model design and integration code

Requirements:

Experience in OOP and object oriented model design based on various design patterns
PHP extension programming in CSmarty templates
SOAP and REST API implementation
Linux shell integration
Experience with Hibernate & Spring
Experience with HTTP/HTTPS, HTML/XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, and PHP
Experience with Ethernet, TCP/IP networking and protocols, routing and Internet security
Familiarity with applying patterns in software design
Experience with software frameworks such as Hibernate
Experience with user authentication and authorization
Experience with writing PHP extensions
Very strong troubleshooting skills
Good working knowledge of Linux and/or UNIX environments
3-5 years web development experience
Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

BS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
