|
|
Hi guys,
I am going to add .htaccess with this code to the smarty folders in case someone of my clients have to put the smarty folder accessible from the internet. Also I added index.html to the folders.
Would you see a problem doing this? I don't want to this if it's going to break something in smarty.

That will keep all direct browser access out of the folder where that .htaccess file is. That is normally fine, so long as your initial index.php file is outside that folder. |

If you use .htaccess there, make sure you don`t have any data in there, which will be displayed by the browser (eg. images). |

I won't have any data files. I will also put index.html to prevent people browsing the directories. _________________ GamePacks.org - Products for the Arcade/Media Community

You could also allow only special file types (like images) with .htaccess, but index.html does it in most cases. Or disable directory browsing server side. |
