It is very nice to find a good bye to {literal} tags. The Smarty 3, though supports CSS and JavaScripts, I never suggest to use them again, when you can externalize them. Also, please take a look on how you can a clean html codes and attach necessary JavaScripts at the end of the page, using unobtrusive techniques. You can work with events tracking as well.
Please see these great resources to see how you can completely isolate the JavaScripts from your HTML part. This is not a new technology, but a way to get rid of traditional programming. |
