Hello.
In production (linux) but not in local (window) setCacheModifiedCheck (true) (3.1.3) returns an empty content.

If cache_modified_check is enabled Smarty tries to make use of the cliet browser cache. Maybe you got some garbage in your browser cache. Have you tried to clear the browser cache first?
It does work in my and other places... |

No, no. Reference well 304 not modified but return something and the browser said it did not find the page and in my case it is for sitemaps and Google webmasters tools said that the file is empty.
No changes made since 3.0.6 and move to 3.1.3.
Removing the setCacheModifiedCheck (true) and everything is ok.
In addition, since I use Smarty I have a huge latency. This is normal ? |

I just verified again on windows and linux servers. works as expected. Must be something with your server/client configuration.
Did you clear all existing compiled and cache files after upgrading to 3.1 ? |

I did not delete the compiled templates.
I test by removing the compiled templates.
It's ok !
