|
|
If this has been asked before then links will suffice to those threads. I searched and did not find any.
In terms of HTML in config files, what is the best practice. For example, on a login screen I have Username and Password. So I might have a config file that looks like:
Code: |
[Login]
pageTitle = "Login"
username = "Username"
password = "Password"
|
Now, I have attributes with those in the TPL file for Font, Color, bla bla. So is it best to leave that in the TPL file or is it ok to do something like the following:
Code: |
[Login]
pageTitle = "Login"
username = "<font size='2' color='blue'>Username</font>"
password = "<font size='2' color='blue'>Password</font>"
|
Thanks for the tips. _________________ Gregg |

It depends on what you're trying to achieve.
If you want to have all the HTML/design related commands in the template files, e.g.: if you have a designer with access only to the templates files, then I would recommend leaving any HTML commands out of the config files. |

Use style sheets, that is a much better "config file" for your markup. |
