|
|
hi.
i want to include my database connection setting in a .conf but prefer the file to be located under web root for added security. I tried to add manual location of configs directory in my php file but it wouldnt take.
also, the conf file didnt load when I took public read off (0640). Though it seems to work now
Can someone offer me the most secure way to store sensitive data using smarty?
thanks. |

configure $smarty->config_dir with an absolute path. this should work.
the config-file has to be readable by the webserver's uid or gid. if you set the permissions 0640 be sure the group the file is owned by, is the group the webserver is running. |
