|
|
I am new to the Smarty template and am unclear how to have a unique meta description for each page. I have added
<meta name="description" content={$description}">
to my header.html file and have tried to assign a value to this in each pages php file, but it is not working, the meta description is reading as {$description}. This is very important for our site SEO and I don't understand why this isn't well documented in the smarty documentation as it is an integral part to any website. Please advise, I have searched all over the web for suggestions. |

If the browser source is showing literally {$description}, then that template/file is not being interpreted as a template. We'll have to see some php source code and template source to figure out why. How is this template loaded? |

Since I am super new to smarty, what specifically do you want me to show you?
In my root I have docroot/ with all the .php files in it and owr/ with classes/ includes/ and templates/
In templates/ is where the .html file for each page template are.
Which php source do you need to see? |
