I'm using apache 1.x and php 4+ and virtual host because I'm working on several site at the same time.
How do I setup smarty?
How to install libs, where to?..I read the manual, but haven't found a solution to my problem. |

What kind of problem did you run into then?
The install instructions state what to do: http://smarty.php.net/manual/en/installing.smarty.basic.php
Basically you have to make sure to provide the correct path to the "lib" directory when you include smarty! |

in manual says install smarty in www/htdocs or such. but I don't use that directory at all. I use my own. that are on my D: disc in a different folders. so correct path to the lib would be what? I use phpdev for running apache and php with mysql. |

There are many tips in the installation forum, such as the one I give in this thread. You should already understand how to configure your webserver and how PHP interacts with the server before attempting to use Smarty. |
