|
|
I installed smarty on the server I am using (rented). The site I first did with smarty works fine, functions and all.
I started a new site.
I copied the lib and resorces.
I made changes in the config.
The templating works but functions do not.
The first time I put in a function ( if in this case ) I got a parse error in the smarty generated compile file.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Is it possible you copied the temporary files from the old site to the new one? If so, remove them from the new site--it will need its own temporary directories and files. |

The error that gets writen to the page is:
" Parse error: parse error in /home/sites/site71/web/resources/compile/%%144/%%1441804480/dinner.php.php on line 34 "
The line of code from /dinner.php.php being referenced in the error is:
" <option value="dinner" <?php if (): ?>selected<?php endif; ?> >dinner</option> "
In the template file it looks like this:
" <option value="dinner" <%if $menu eq "dinner" %>selected<%/if%> >dinner</option> "
Maybe this helps,

Well, wherever your equivalents for the 'templates_c' (compile_dir)and 'cache' (cache_dir) are. |
