Hi there,

i want to "abuse" the native smarty-blocks for some kind of plugin-system.
A plugin should be able to append/prepend/override a block.

I couldn't find away to extend the Block-Plugins behaviour to accomplish that.
I just wanted to fire a symfony-event if a block is rendered.

Is this possible somehow?
Thanks in advance.

An abuse is not what you should consider.

Any internal changes in Smarty could break your application.
