I'm learn PHP just several months,and I never use some class like fast template or smart,when a html has been created,I just use eval() to output it,for separate the logical and html,I think it can do most thint with it, is it??

why so much peple use smarty?

dunno. but i know that smarty *is not* for separating logic and html. it's for separating *display logic* from *business logic*.

I suggest you take a look at this thread. There are many opinions expressed, both for and against. It may not give you the answer you are looking for, but if nothing else, it is entertaining Smile
