I'm just getting started with Smarty. I've been using the xTemplates template engine. I'm having a hard time finding some code samples for using mySQL with Smarty.

I'm mostly interested in how to populate html tables with data from mySQL database. Simple stuff mostly.

Anyone know of a good place to find some code that does this type of stuff?

Yeah, there's been a new article on the Smarty website. You can find it at:

Its a good way to start, I imagine. There doesn't seem to be a lot of support for the PHP dbx module but I like it. It is easy to use, fast and supports mysql.
