Hey guys i'm making a navagition of just a list of links the a user is able to go to with their current authorization status. But I dont know how to do it with smarty. Here is an example of what i'm trying to accomplish:

~Query Database to see if user is authorized for this link (and access to it but that dont matter)
~If they are, display the current link

~Then once your in that section of the link you clicked, the nav would now display everything from the previous page, plus the sub-links to the current section your in.

This is really pissing me off, and I may just create an entire nav system but its prolly easier with smarty.

what you describe is very much application-logic. smarty can't help you with that very much. you have to organize your database-access and handling of http-parameters (when users navigate through your link-directory) by hand in php. smarty can only help you in displaying the lists you gathered by your application.
