Hello

I would like to know, if possible, what's the best way of having some 'nocached' output: Old Insert plugins (smarty_insert_blabla() ) or the new features in version 2.6.0, cacheability of plugin's output?
Are they different in performance?

TIA

i want to port my old insert-plugins to simple functions with the new cacheable-feature of smarty 2.6.

i think this is the better way, because the template-syntax is more consistent because the template designer does not have to know about the difference between insert- and normal function. further you have the possibility cache selected parameters of the function without caching the whole function.

my problem is how to port my old insert functions. i never use register_function or register_insert in my app. i only use the autoload-feature for some plugin-dirs. i think now i have to exclude a selected dir from the plugins-dir-array, an include the functions on my own in the app and then user register_function, but this is not very fine i think. it would be very fine, if it would work anything else. has anybody an idea?

thanks,
rainer
