I have dynamic site (about 45K pages) which was built for me, zipcodes finder. I am thinking about converting the site to Smarty or WordPress. Would that be a big job?

All current URLS need to stay the same. The original developer wanted to convert the sight to Smarty, but I really think it would be more flexible in
WordPress.

I do not know PHP and I need to beable to get in an easily edit pages.

Does anyone have experience with a project like this? Please give me your thoughts, time for completion, and estimated cost?
