hello,
i have a html page with encoding utf-8
when i made it as template and go to the page i see a white screen
i think becasue im calling things from with encoding windows-1256
becasue when i add new article for example the addition page encoding is windows-1256
so when i fetch it in the utf-8 template
the template dont show
m i wrong? |

If you get a white page you must have another problem. The operation of Samrty is transperent regarding charsets. It does not even know about it. |

but i have changed the page encoding to windows-1256 and the page displayed but in bad shap
and i have changed it one more to utf-8 but the page dont show
so i think its charset encoding 100% |

Most of the time I get a blank page is because there was a php error but php.ini was set to not display erros so I'd get a blank page.
I'd say, make sure you're displaying php erros, otherwise the question is an interesting one indeed.
It can also happen that even if you have an encoding tag set to a particular encoding, that the page itself was saved in the proper format. If you use dreamweaver, you can check the encoding by going to 'Modify > Page Properties' and see what encoding the page uses. |
