Just a very tiny documentation "bug" that might save one a little guessing:
Code: | Index: Smarty3Alpha/libs/Smarty.class.php
===================================================================
--- Smarty3Alpha/libs/Smarty.class.php (revision 3023)
+++ Smarty3Alpha/libs/Smarty.class.php (working copy)

public $compile_error = false;
// caching enabled
public $caching = false;
- // caching lifetime
+ // caching lifetime in seconds
public $caching_lifetime = 0;
// cache_id
public $cache_id = null;
|
EDIT: While I am thinking about it: Caching with a chaching_lifetime of 0 does not make any sense, does it? .
The $caching-var could be ommited. Whether caching is enabled or not can still be indicated by setting $caching_lifetime to <=0 (caching disabled) or a value >0 (caching enabled with the given lifetime) |
