There is no need to write something like:

if(function_exists('date_default_timezone_set'))
{
   # Basically for Smarty's Date Error while compiling files.
   date_default_timezone_set('Asia/Katmandu');
}


New version does not need this.

Smarty 2.6.2 on PHP5 had a compile time issue with this date (timezone) function.
