|
|
I am using smarty v3.1.4. I think due to this memory consumption is very high. My script occupy 15,377,280bytes of memory, and when I use smarty version v2.1, same script occupy 8,733,000bytes of memory.
Can you please help me for this?
Its a kind request to you, please reply me as soon as possible.
Thax. |

How did you measure it?
What's the size of the compiled templae files in Smarty2 and 3?
Do you use caching? |

In v3.1.4 size of compiled template is 12,122,256 bytes and in v2.1 7,698,568 bytes.
I am using APC Cache in PHP v5. |

The Smarty3 template compiler is much more complex as the Smarty 2 compiler. So during compilation Smarty3 does use much more memory as Smarty2. This should not be an issue as compiling a template is a one time process only after a template was modified.
The size of the compiled template files located in the $compile_dir folder (default ./template_c) should a comparable size. |
