The document for compiler function says the second argument is a Smarty object. And in the example,
Code:
function smarty_compiler_tplheader($params, Smarty $smarty)

However, the actual object is an instance of Smarty_Internal_SmartyTemplateCompiler so the example would give a catchable fatal error.

I'm also curious about the Smarty_Internal_SmartyTemplateCompiler object, why is it provided as a parameter? How is a compiler function author supposed to use that object?

It would be very helpful if the doc would say more about the compiler object.

Tested with Smarty 3.1.7.

Thanks!

Arrix
