Hi

I'm working with a search directory solution that uses smarty and php. This solution has a header and footer which is easy enough to understand. When a link is clicked, Smarty loads content at the end of the header. How it works I'm not quite sure as I see no tag for this in the header but I'm assuming this is specified in a php file that compiles the two .tpl(header, footer).

All links on the page loads content in the left column of a table which is fine except when a user performs a search. Instead of having the search results appear in the left column I would like them to appear in the right column.

I'm lost on how to define this action. My best guess is I have to define some kind of if statement in the php file that compiles the two and put some tag that calls the search results in the footer.

If anyone could give me some pointer on how to do this I would be very grateful.
