|
|
I've successfully installed Smarty in a few directories (& subdomains) on my website.
I'm wondering, is it easy / possible to have a smarty template 'called' from another directory / suibdomain ..
Ie, a login/logout script (http://accounts.domain.com) , & when you are logged in, a menu appears with links to 2-3 areas of my site.
http://subdomain1.domain.com
http://subdomain2.domain.com
http://subdomain3.domain.com
These are all in different directories / areas of my FTP directories.
I'm using SESSIONS to record the logged in status of a usr.
EDIT: so the 'template' is stored in my 'accounts' directory, but if logged in, will be available / shown on any of the other subdomains. |

To be clear, templates are accessed on the server side, so having templates residing in different directories should work just fine. You don't use URLs to access templates, so domains shouldn't matter. |
