Hi all,
I'm trying to install a few PHP scripts that need Smarty to run properly. I'm using W2K Server, IIS5 and PHP 4.3.7. I'm going to explain what I've did:
1. I've copied "lib" files and folders to where I've PHP (C:\PHP\includes) and applied permissions (ie Everyone Full control).
2. In PHP.ini
Code: |
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; Paths and Directories ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; Windows: "\path1;\path2"
include_path = "c:\php\includes"
|
As it didn't worked, I've made these changes in Smarty.class.php:
Code: |
define ("SMARTY_DIR", "c:\\PHP\\Includes");
|
But it continues with the error that Smarty is not installed in my system.
I've been browsing through these forums, I've tried to add in smarty.class.php the following, but it didn't worked
Code: |
require("Smarty.class.php");
|
In order to test if Smarty is installed I've ran the following example that someone posted in the forum... but again unsuccessful
Code: |
<?php
require_once('Smarty.class.php');
$smarty = new Smarty;
var_dump($smarty);
?>
|
Please, does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks so much for your help.
Kind Regards! |

dunno, but don't bother trying to change the smarty class directly. Instead, set SMARTY_DIR prior to trying to call smarty (perhaps even in a prepend file) or better yet, instead of relying on PHP to find Smarty for you in an include dir, use an absolute path.
eg:
define ('SMARTY_DIR', 'path_to_smarty_library');
include (SMARTY_DIR.'Smarty.class.php'); |
