Hi all.
I'm new on the PHP wold, so, I'm just taking knowledge from the net and looking for the best product to work with. Template engine is one of the most box. After review some engines, I think that this is the best one, but taking a look at http://www.smartphp.net/ i saw that performance is quite lower that smarttemplate. In other pages (http://www.phpinsider.com/benchmarks/) I saw that using a acelerator (for instance The ionCube PHP Accelerator - http://www.php-accelerator.co.uk/) the performance will be similar that other engines. Have anyone checked this performance figures?. Hay anyone test smarty with a accelerator and have saw a realy increase in the performance?
Thanks a lot |

I see about a five-fold increase in performance with an opcode cache (accelerator). I can't comment on smarttemplate as I am not familiar with it. |
