|
|
our site, http://www.summit.org/index.php is built on Smarty. we are having a weird problem where some pages are not displaying templates, some are...example. home page displays...but if you click on the "Curriculum" or "Resources" links at the top, it just goes to a blank page...nothing in the .tpl files is being displayed...this is also true at https://www.summit.org/donate/monthly_gift.php. Does anyone know why this would happen and how we can fix it?
Thanks! |

okay, it's not quite random...I set force_compile to true and then any page I went to was blank...I reset force_compile to false. Then any page I had visited while force_compile was true was still blank...any pages that hadn't been visited still displayed.
Is there a way I need to reset things so all the pages could display?
Thanks! |

okay, figured out that I was way over quota on my web hosting account...that was causing the problems.
However, I was over quota because the template_c and cache folders added up to over 2.5 GB! Is this typical? How can I prevent these folders from getting so bloated?
Thanks! |

You could use the clear_compiled_tpl() API. or run a cron that removes templates_c files older than N days (or not accessed since N days) |

use a finite number of templates and a finite number of compile_ids, then you'll get a maximum number of distinct templates. |
