Hi,

I use DW to develop my php/smarty applications and was wondering if there is way to have css link properly within DW when the link is in a seperate .tpl (template) file.

ie.
my template includes
{include="header.tpl"}

where this 'header.tpl' file contains the link to the CSS file. It is annoying having to already know what styles I have created. I would rather use the quick dropdown the DW has when it knows about the linked css file.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers, Chris.

Although its too much late a reply... but the solution might be helpful for someone else.. (like me... when I was looking for a solution .. and landed on this page)

- Right Click in Dreamweaver Preview pane
- CSS Styles -> Design Time
- Add your stylesheet to [Show only at design time] section.

I hope it helps your cause.

How do I convert an HTML document to a CSS style sheet? OK, so I run this website, and we've been doing a lot of re-designs of it to make it look better. What makes it annoying is that when we re-design, we have to go through and manually update each page to look like the others. So, someone suggested that we switch over to CSS. So, I took how the site currently looks, imported it into notepad, and now I need a way that I can convert it into a CSS style sheet, can someone help me out?

Hi there, I am just started using Adobe dreamweaver CS5 and as I see it, it is way too different than Macromedia Dreamweaver. Is there any tutorial that anyone here knows so that I can learn Adobe dreamweaver quick? My friends told me it is better to use in it web designing than Macromedia so I like to learn about it.
