I would really like to see support for calling static methods on classes native instead of needing to create a plugin to do so.
I guess some people would argument that there should be no need for this when using the app to call smarty and assign it variables, but there might be some use for calling the app-logic from Smarty itself, and thus support for static methods would prove useful.

Just an example of to how I would like to see support for this:
Code:

{App::getURL('modulename')}

If anyone has some comments on this I would like to hear them Smile[/code]
