I've suffered a lot about this little missing feature : a "File not found" warning when a template can't be found. For now Smarty does just show nothing more than a blank page...

I assume that you are logging your PHP errors to a file. Smarty triggers PHP errors when bad things happen, so you should see a line like this in your error log:
[22-Apr-2003 09:20:04] PHP Warning: Smarty error: unable to read template resource: "base/menu/menu.tpl" in c:\usr\local\BondDesk\lib\smarty\Smarty.class.php on line 1050 |
