For a company I want to use smarty but for safety php-script may not write to disk.
Is it possible to use smarty without the need to write to disk???

no.
smarty's main purpose is to write php-code to disk and execute it. that's the "compiling" in "the compiling PHP template engine". |

HarryF (of phpPatterns) is running a thread on SitePoint that is attempting to discover the complete list of available PHP template engines. You will probably find what you need there.
On the other hand, you need to get over the write to disk issue. Make it happen--it is SO worth it. |
