There was a thread about this I started a while ago. I think there should be a whole section dedicated in the forums to making Smarty templates play nice with WYSIWYG tools like DW and Frontpage.

changing the delimeters to <!--{ }--> would be half the battle, but I think if you read my previous post, you'll realize that we're really looking for a complete solution around HTML...
