I want to use smarty to render a tree from PEAR:DB_NestedSet. DB_NestedSet has several render-engines, but I did not found an implementation with smarty. Has anybody done something like this?

hmm,
the prefilter does not work if you have a shortblock in a normal block:
{outer}foo{inner /}bar{/outer}
expands to
{outer}foo{inner}{/outer}foo{inner}
but the regex ist already ungr ... |

i do not know if mysql can be faster. perhaps with heap-tables, bit normaly i do not think so. there is only one instance more between the data from the harddisk and the delivery of the page. |

I read in the changelog to Smarty 2.6.2 that config files can now be loaded from resources, but I couldn't find any docs to that topic. Can anybody give me a hint?
