I changed my modifier function to match the example mohrt gave. The validate function is part of "smartyValidate-2.9", so i think there is also an error there which prevents modifiers to wor ... |

The "wierd" thing is, all goes fine when i do this:
{%nlDate|upper%}
But when i do this:
{%nlDate date=$objNews->getDateTime()|upper%}
