Warning: Smarty error: problem creating directory "./smartyfiles/templates_c//%%117/%%1172603085" in /home/desiball/public_html/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 999
Warning: Smarty error: problem writing './smartyfiles/templates_c//%%117/%%1172603085/index.tpl.php.' in /home/desiball/public_html/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 999
Can anyone please help me with this? I checked out the other thread where they told me to modify _create_dir_structure function in Smarty.class.php. I dont know why i'm still receiving these errors?
Can some one please help??
here's part of my Setup.php file:
class Smarty_DesiballApp extends Smarty {
function Smarty_DesiballApp() {
// Class Constructor. These automatically get set with each new instance.
$this->Smarty();
$this->template_dir = './smartyfiles/templates/';
$this->compile_dir = './smartyfiles/templates_c/';
$this->config_dir = './smartyfiles/configs/';
$this->cache_dir = './smartyfiles/cache/';
$this->caching = false;
$this->assign('app_name','Guest Book');

I'm experiencing the same problem with the latest stable Smarty release (2.5.0).
Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated. _________________ So let's do it again mami, you and a friend mami |

turn $smarty->use_sub_dirs to false or try to use full-paths for compile_dir.
you can configure full-paths, but keep your scripts relocatible, if you do sth. like:
define('BASEDIR', realpath(dirname(__FILE__)));
$smarty->compile_dir = BASEDIR.DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.'templates_c';
maybe you have to emit some ".." here and there depending on your setup. |

Also, your templates_c directory must be chowned by apache.apache (or whatever your webserver is) - not sure if this will resolve your problem, but it always pays to be sure (-: |
