I'm working on an insert function that would return the results of an mysql query. Does anyone know how to access the smarty config variables I've set up from within that function?

Try: http://smarty.php.net/manual/en/api.config.load.php and then: http://smarty.php.net/manual/en/api.get.config.vars.php
