I am trying to create a form that posts back to itself. When I try to use $SCRIPT_NAME in the template, it is not set. I have made a class that creates a form from any sql query, but i can't get the action set.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,
George

Have you tried {$smarty.server.SCRIPT_NAME} ? It is the preferred method of accessing $SCRIPT_NAME.

Thanks, that worked. Is there a comprehensive reference guide for smarty? The one on the smarty site, while very useful, does not seem to tell me all of the possible variables, etc

The manual tells all: http://smarty.php.net/manual/en/language.variables.smarty.php
