Would it be possible for Smarty to pre-render cached pages instead of waiting for a visitor to the site requests it from the server?

Something like:

[php:1:f6dc431d37]<?php
$smarty->cache_render('my_template.tpl', $cache_id);

?>[/php:1:f6dc431d37]
